Social Justice?
I got my undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University. While in college, I pumped gas, mounted tires, and pulled wrenches (worked as a mechanic). In other words, I worked my way through college. Yes, my parents helped, but the onus was on me. I even had a wife and child then. And I never got government help. I then got a job and built a house (yes, I literally built it), got my MBA, and still got no government help. And then, with a wife and two children and another house that I literally built, went back to school and got my Ph.D. Still no government help. In fact, not one person or government came to my aid or gave me any money or help with my classes. Where is my social justice? People today (read Democrats) want social justice. Where is mine?
So I hope people will forgive me if I don't support "social justice." And I hope people will understand when I tell people who yell "social justice" to get educated (or reeducated) and get a job or another job.
Income
And with an education I can earn more than most people. If I want to GIVE money to others, it should be MY choice, and not be forced to by the government through higher taxes. Income inequality? If low wage or no wage earners want higher wages, let's see some work and education, not wait for the government to tax us to even things up. Like it or not, we live in a global economy and political talk cannot change that. If a person in India is worth more to me than a person in this country, I should not have to pay more just to support people in this country.
